Learning to communicate
At weekly visits to the training center, students learned to fit a guide harness and leash. Professional trainers guided them in practicing four basic commands and adjusting their posture and gestures.
Building trust through practice
Students also practiced outside the training center in everyday travel settings. Repeated practice helped them give clearer cues, become more familiar with the dogs and develop trust and coordination.
Learning from everyday experiences
Students visited people with visual impairments at home and filmed aspects of their daily lives. Guided by Chris, they developed documentary work from these visits and follow-up interviews, exploring accessibility through everyday experiences.
